HOLIDAY PACKING: FASHION

As I mentioned in my Chit Chat post (here) I am off to Rome this Wednesday and I am so excited I could pee my pants! - but I won't, because I may get some funny looks from people. Anyway, I thought this would be a good opportunity to write up some holiday preparation posts as I love to read these types of things on others peoples blogs and it will help me get organised as I go along.

Within this post is the fashion items that I am going to pack for my travels. I am going from Wednesday - Sunday so I'm not taking an awful lot as it will have to fit in my hand luggage. Also, during my visit I am hoping to go to The Vatican and various other religious places within Rome so I will be taking a cover up to put on within those places but I haven't photographed this.

NEW BUYS: THE DOC SHOP

For those of you who have me on instagram '@toria_adkins' you would have seen my post yesterday about these incredible bargains I picked up at The Doc Shop - Factory Outlet. This little shop is my idea of heaven: Dr Marten shoes, sandals, clothes and accessories galore, and for ridiculously cheap prices! It's located in Wollaston, and they stock items that are end of line stock or not fit for proper sales in stores or concessions, but when you look closely there isn't anything that is wrong to be honest. Sandals sell for £20, shoes £25 and boots £30 (majority of the time, with some exceptions) and all of the clothes are reduced prices too!

Here are the bargains I picked up:

Agness Deyn for Dr Martens check skirt - £5

Agyness Deyn for Dr Martens eyeball A-line Dress - £20 (was £90!!!)

Dr Martens Tara Sandals - £20

It's crazy to think that if I went to an actual store this would have cost over £200 and I managed to get it all for £45 - less than the dress alone would have cost! It is so worth taking a trip if your a Dr martens fanatic like me because the money that you will save for items that aren't even faulty to the eye at all.

CHIT CHAT #3

If you read my posts often you may wonder 'why is she posting so early, its normally evening time she uploads?' well this is the exciting stuff I was on about in my last post, I have finally found a job! I am now a sales consultant in Boots - Ok it's not the most fashionable job and not relatable to my studies, but its money right? Being a student, thats my main problem at the minute so I needed to take any job thrown at me. Before this I was cat-sitting for my auntie, not really a career aye? haha.

This has been why I haven't been able to upload as many posts lately as I have been settling in and been on the late shift, but I am adjusting to early mornings again so I can start posting at these times instead. I love blogging too much to just stop because of a job!

Also, next wednesday I am off to Rome until the following Sunday so I am planning on posting some holiday related posts over the coming days as I love those types of posts to help my own planning and I hope to help some of you on your travels and plans.

I won't ramble on anymore, I hope you all have a lovely day in the sunshine while I'm working later. *sad faces*

OOTD: FISHNET & DENIM

Now its warmer I can feel comfortable showing flesh, even if it is only a little bit of midriff! As usual I tend to lean more toward a grunge/girly look with the fishnet and accessories and as the outfit if overall quite plain, I added a few more than usual to spice things up.

I just want to bring to light how much of a bargain these jeans were! So I did have a pair of Topshop Mom jeans which I had for around a year, but they either shrunk in the wash or I outgrew them (I like to tell myself that they shrunk) but I came across these in Primark for only £13 and they are practically the exact same but for more than half the price. Some of you may look past Primark and think that the quality or designs aren't up to scratch within current trends, but seriously at the minute its worth checking out before splurging on something you could have for a fraction of the price.

Not really been up to much, just strolling around in sun making the most of it while I can (I shall explain why in an upcoming 'chit chat' post). But I hope you are making the most of the sun as Summer is finally on the way, yippee!

OOTD: TUTTI FRUTTI

This is before a night out on the town with the girls! I hadn't really posted a 'dressy' outfit of the day, so I thought I would make a start. The jumpsuit is a size to big for me, hence why I have a jumper over the top. You may be thinking 'why did you buy it if it is too big for you!? well- it was in the sale for £15 from around £50 and with student discount on top it was even cheaper, I wasn't going to let that offer slip away from me when the print and style is utterly perfect.

To dress it down a little, I wore my T-bar monochrome shoesies and they seem to be the only heels I can wear out at the minute without my feet dying!

WISHLIST: BIRTHDAY EDITION

IT'S MY BIRTHDAY TOMORROW! *dances*

As per usual, when asked what I would like for my birthday I have been saying 'oh I don't know, just money or something' and again for the millionth time I have thought of a zillion things I would love just a few days before the actual date! Majority of the items on this wish list I wouldn't reciee because of how pricey they are, but a girl can dream right?

I'm obsessed with Motel co-ords at the minute as they look so grungey but still feminine which is my go-to vibe within outfits, continuing with the grunge theme, how cool would these docs look with the ripped jeans? Ive attempted making my own ripped jeans before but I just can't seem to get the same effect hence why I am lusting over this pair and docs, well with a blog name called 'docsanddaisies' I think you can probably tell how crazy I am about them. UNIF are one of my favourite brands, I don't own anything of theres but I think everything that they create is A-M-A-Z-I-N-G, especially these sunglasses.

All over various blogs, instagram accounts and twitter I keep seeing Grafea rucksacks, Olivia Burton watches and cleated soled shoes. I think I've been brainwashed to just crave all of the items by how often I see them on other people! The nude shoes and watch would match more or less all outfits as they are neutral colours, however the rucksack would add a pop of brightness to any outfit!

OOTD: LEOPARD PRINT

I've had this coat for about two years now and I think I've worn it a grand total of once, which is a shame because now I think its the most wonderful coat in my wardrobe! Its such a bold piece of clothing that is easy to put on with a plain outfit to spice things up and it just looks so sophisticated I think. It's been quite dull this week weather wise but still quite warm hence why I haven't layered this outfit much. I went for a mooch around the shops with mum so I needed a casual and comfortable outfit, easy to throw on and off if I needed to try anything on.
