M.A.C RED BY MAC

Everyone loves a red lip? Right? I myself am partial to a red lip every now and then when I feel the need to look sophisticated and sassy. I like to pair red lips with a simple and plain outfit so that I don't look too full on and in your face and makeup wise I  leave my eyes rather plain so that all of the attention is focused on the pout!

When working at the airport I was able to buy wonderful products at discounted products including things from MAC Cosmetics, hence why I picked this beautiful shade of lipstick up while I was there! Its quite a deep shade of red with blue tones, which I quite like as it looks powerful, its a satin finish so its a matt finish with a slight shine to it which still keeps the lips feeling moisturised. The staying power is a bonus swell with a red lipstick as it stains the lips giving a lasting effect. I am definitely happy with this purchase and can't wait to style it up with different looks!

What do you think to MAC Cosmetics lipsticks? What is your favourite shade/finish?

NEW BUYS: BOHO JEWELS

All 3 Necklaces: Topshop

Summer sales, I love them. In fact any sales in general I love, I just can't get enough. Even if I don't need anything I will always end up leaving a shop with something from a sale, I think I have a problem aha! Anyway, enough rambling. I was in Topshop the other day returning something and I just went over to have a nose at the jewellery sale and to my delight I came across some beauties that I had been searching for for ages.

I can't remember the original prices of these necklaces but I doubt they were over £12, but I managed to get them for £3.50 each. They have a boho, Coachella vibe about them perfect for the festival season layered with chokers and other chains. Pair them with some tiny gold hoop earrings and some gold rings and you're good to go! I can't wait to style these up when I go to Reading Festival next month.

Have you picked up any bargains in the summer sales?

NEW BUYS: HOLOGRAPHIC SANDALS

Shock, Victoria's bought something from Primark again! I couldn't miss this opportunity though, as I I had been looking at this exact type of shoe on ebay, Lamoda, Public Desire, etc. about to spend £20-£30 pound, when I stumbled upon these beauties in Primark. They look exactly the same, and are probably made of the same quality materials which is a bargain at only £14!

I think these may become my new 'going out' shoes as I just can't seem to hack heels in clubs and pubs anymore. Ive become a 'Flats for the win!' kind of girl lately and with the low, flatform type of heel these will be more than comfortable. I can't wait to style them with fishnet socks and colourful frilly ones too as I'm not that keen on toes haha!

Picked up any bargains recently?

NEW BUYS: THE DOC SHOP

For those of you who have me on instagram '@toria_adkins' you would have seen my post yesterday about these incredible bargains I picked up at The Doc Shop - Factory Outlet. This little shop is my idea of  heaven: Dr Marten shoes, sandals, clothes and accessories galore, and for ridiculously cheap prices! It's located in Wollaston, and they stock items that are end of line stock or not fit for proper sales in stores or concessions, but when you look closely there isn't anything that is wrong to be honest. Sandals sell for £20, shoes £25 and boots £30 (majority of the time, with some exceptions) and all of the clothes are reduced prices too!

Here are the bargains I picked up:

Agness Deyn for Dr Martens check skirt - £5

Agyness Deyn for Dr Martens eyeball A-line Dress - £20 (was £90!!!)

Dr Martens Tara Sandals - £20

It's crazy to think that if I went to an actual store this would have cost over £200 and I managed to get it all for £45 - less than the dress alone would have cost! It is so worth taking a trip if your a Dr martens fanatic like me because the money that you will save for items that aren't even faulty to the eye at all.

What do you think? Have I convinced you to take a visit to The Doc Shop?

NEW BUYS: PRIMARK HAUL

I wanted to do this post in a lookbook style, but being back at uni it was just a lot easier to take the images of my new buys like this - I suppose it's good to change things up bait now and then anyway!

The Primark here in Southampton is SOOO much better than the one that I have in my hometown, stocking almost anything you could think of in practically the same quality as Topshop, River Island, etc. I had to limit myself to just these items for now, which still came to around £50! But I am definitely popping back to pick up a few more bits and bobs before I go back home for summer next week.

Sandals: £8 | Bag: £6 | Sunglasses: £3

I have these sandals in black already and I love them so much, they're so comfy and almost exactly the same as the pricey versions in River Island which I can't justify the price of. I'm a sucker for pretty sunglasses and couldn't say no to a £3 pair that look so fabulous, even if they do make me look a tiny bit bug-like! I've been looking for a camera bag to put my camera in for ages! At the moment I keep it in a boring black one that my dad gave me which is super heavy without the camera even in it, so when I saw this cute little pastel beauty for only £6 how could I say no? It fits my camera in it snug and I can now take it out and about with me.

Hats: £4 each

I was stood in Primark for about 10 minutes trying to decide which colour of this hat I should go for, as they are both statement colours and go with practically any outfit chosen. I even rang my mum and best friend to help me decide. In the end, I bought both because I was still being so indecisive! At only £4 each it didn't really dent the bank balance and I just love how chic' they look.

Smock dress (left): £9 | Playsuit: £13

Sorry for how busy these last two photos have turned out, I didn't realise the patterns were so clashy! Primark are really on top form at the minute, with all the current trends ands styles available in the shops at such cheap prices. I picked up this dress as a casual item just to throw on when running errands and popping to town and so on, its smock style so its loose and comfy. This playsuit doesn't look like a typical Primark piece in my opinion, it has a silky feel and fits me in all the right places and at £13 its a deifnate steal!

What have you picked up in Primark lately? Anything the same as me?

NEW BUYS: H&M HAUL

(Clockwise) £9.99 | £19.99 | £9.99 | £5.99

I thought I would share the new items I picked up in H&M recently. I felt that I had way too many trousers, playsuits, etc. but not enough dresses and girly pieces of clothing in my wardrobe, so I went on a hunt around town for some cute items to add to my wardrobe and came back with only H&M purchases!

The two dresses on the left and the right in the top image are both the same style just different patterns (both daisy prints of course!) They are perfect for layering underneath and onto with long shirts and jumpers or on their own when the sun decides to come out for good.
I saw the white crotchet dress and immediately needed it! It isn't the normal waistline on a dress that I go for, however it is just as flattering I think and will be perfect for my holiday this summer!
Lastly the skirt I saw on my way to the checkout and thought it was dead cute, the material is quite light and you won't stand much chance of keeping it down if theres windy weather however the floral print is perfect for spring and again for layering with jumpers/tights/etc. I think it will be worn just as much when winter comes along.

What do you think of H&M's new summer items?

NEW BUY: BLOCK GLADIATORS

Shoes: River Island | Socks: Primark

I bought these sandals around February time after I had seen a few people in them last summer, so I had to pick them up ASAP before stocks run out as per usual around summertime. I had forgotten about them until recently my friend also purchased a pair  and I realised I had to dig them out and share them with the world! I am a massive fan of beautiful ugly shoes and these definitely fall in that category (I think so anyway!)

They cost me £40 (here) from River Island, however I know that New Look have started selling them for around £20 and they are practically exactly the same. They are super comfy, however they have annoyingly started to squeak every time I walk in them which is slightly weird and embarrassing when around town haha!

If you know me you will know that I have a weird thing about toes and will hardly ever get mine out in front of people, hence why I choose to wear pretty frilly socks with these shoes to make them look even cuter - with them being black means I can style them with almost any colour sock/tight I which!

Whats your opinion on beautiful ugly shoes? Have you got any similar?

NEW BUY: THE BUBBLE BAG

Bag: Ebay

I remember having a bubble bag when I was a toddler, but I think I love them even more now. I came across a picture on Instagram of someone with one and that was it, my love was rekindled and I knew I had to find one for myself. Turns out there are tonnes available on Ebay, majority under a fiver, I picked this one up from here, for only £4.45!

Its a lot bigger than I expected which is an added bonus as I always over organise and fill up my bags so quickly. As you may have guessed, I love a daisy print on anything so thesis perfect for me! It arrived deflated and I had to blow air into it myself through the 3 blowholes in the bag which was all pretty simple and worth it. I don't think I will use it if I am going to london or anywhere overly busy as it would be easy to pop or steal from, but for a trip to the beach or a lighthearted day out I can't wait to use it!

Did you have a bubble bag when you were younger?

NEW BUY: PRIMARK SUNNIES

I was strolling through Primark and just happened to glance over to the sunglasses wall and these caught my eye! Last year I bought a few pairs of sunglasses similar to this in funky pink and green colours which I still love but I have been looking for a more subtle and classy pair that I can wear to look a tad more 'grown up' and Primark have not disappointed me! They feel a little plastic, but compared to shops like Topshop and River Island where the quality isn't that different in my eyes you can't really complain. They cost a mere £3 which is an absolute bargain which I could not give up the opportunity to own. I am keeping a look out to see if they release any more beauties like these.
